Vietnam will implement a new visa exemption policy for citizens of 12 countries, allowing them to stay in the country for up to 45 days without a visa. This policy will take effect from March 15, 2025.
Countries Eligible for Visa Exemption
The following countries are eligible for the 45-day visa exemption:
- Europe: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland
- Asia: Japan, South Korea
- Eurasia: Russia
Eligibility Requirements
- Citizens of the 12 listed countries will not need a visa to enter Vietnam.
- The maximum allowed stay is 45 days, regardless of the type of passport or purpose of visit.
- Travelers must comply with all Vietnamese entry regulations.
Duration of the Visa Exemption Policy
- The visa exemption is valid from March 15, 2025, until March 14, 2028.
- At the end of this period, the policy will be reviewed and may be extended in accordance with Vietnamese law.
