Posted on Christopher Breunig2026-03-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish a perfect tour. The Ha Giang Loop is quite busy but the Lotus Drivers always find a spot which still feels wild.Posted on Nathalie Friesch2026-03-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We did the 3 days / 2 nights Ha Giang Loop Tour with Lotus Group. Unfortunately, our experience with the organization was quite mixed. The tour package included a VIP sleeper bus to Ha Giang. We were told the bus would arrive at 3:00 PM, but instead we were picked up at 3:30 PM by a very old taxi that drove us out of the city to the main bus. Once there, we had to wait inside the bus for more than 1.5 hours until other passengers arrived. During that time the air inside the bus was extremely stuffy, and the bus driver was very unfriendly and gave us no information at all. Because of this we contacted our tour contact person, but unfortunately they were also unable to provide any helpful information. After we finally started driving, we made multiple random stops, which meant we arrived much later than expected, close to midnight, at the Lotus Hostel, where we had booked one night before the tour started the next morning. The next day the tour itself began, and unfortunately it was raining heavily. According to the booking, the tour included motorcycle protective gear as well as rain gear. However, we were only given helmets, even though additional protective equipment was listed in our booking. For rain capes we had to pay extra, even though they were essential in that weather. Another issue was that all helmets were the same size, so they did not fit most people properly, which is clearly a safety concern. Luckily, my boyfriend and I had two amazing drivers (Easy Riders) with good motorcycles. Thanks to them, the actual riding experience was great. The first day we did not see much due to the weather, but it was still interesting. When we arrived at the first accommodation, we were given a different room than promised, and unfortunately the room had no window. On the second day, the weather improved and we were finally able to see much more of the landscape, which was beautiful. We also felt very comfortable with our drivers and had a lot of fun during the tour. The third day was also great, and we returned to the hostel in the late afternoon. After returning, the staff arranged our transfer to Ninh Binh, but again we received conflicting information about the departure time of the bus, and no one could clearly tell us when it would arrive. The return bus ride was unfortunately another negative experience. There were more passengers than actual beds/seats available, which meant that some people had to sleep on the floor of the bus. When passengers complained, the bus driver was again very uncooperative and only offered them a ridiculous compensation of about 3€ off the ticket price. In summary, the tour itself was only such a good experience because of our drivers. Huge thanks to the Easy Riders, especially Hieu (my driver and the group leader) and Sinh (my boyfriend’s driver). They were professional, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable. However, the overall organization by Lotus was quite disappointing. Especially regarding safety (helmets and protective gear) and included services that later require extra payment, there is definitely room for improvement.Posted on Momona Kaibara2026-03-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing!!!! Definitely worth doing🤩🤩Posted on Niamh Donnelly2026-03-01Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish the people from lotus were so helpful, including booking the tour, getting us to ha giang safely on the bus, getting us settled in at the hotel. And then of course, the whole of the ha giang loop tour. My friends driver quan spoke amazing english and made sure everyone was aware and comfortable with what was happening at all times. My driver Hiéu was the kindest person and best driver ever, i trusted him completely and he made sure i was okay and we had conversations along the way. All the drivers in the group were amazing and accommodating, one of the people in the group was ill so the driver was slower than the others to make sure she was okay. The motorbikes were bigger than most the other tours, making us feel more safe on them. The stops were amazing and often so you got time to stretch from the bikes, in our experience, the groups were smaller and therefore our stops were less crowded and normally just our group there which made the viewing points more peaceful. We did some hiking and went to waterfalls. If we were unsure if we wanted to do something the drivers were understanding and in my case, i did something alone with my driver so i was always safe. The homestays were basic but well presented and the food throughout the tour was amazing and definitely suitable for picky eaters. There was kareoke each night where you socialised with the others from your group and your drivers. One of the drivers on the tour will have a camera and become your personal photographer and will share the photos with you for free at the end of the tour. The best experience of my life, thanks to lotus.Posted on Emil Fink2026-02-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a great pleasure to be on the Ha Giang loop with Lotus Tours. Highly recommended. We have collected memories, experiences, beautiful views, and fun evenings that we will never forget. A big shout out to the world's funniest and best leading guide, Quan. Also, a shout out to the world's sweetest and most helpful receptionist at Lotus Tours' own hotel, Tina. If you have the option to choose 4 days, then definitely do so, as we were really happy with 4 days rather than 3 days, and many people say that 3 days is too short. In addition, if you feel up to it, drive a scooter or motorcycle up there yourself. It's a really cool experience if you're a little fearless. - Elias and Emil from DenmarkPosted on Nela.OnTour2026-02-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on cheyenne zarb2026-02-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our guide was great and shared care and respect for all travelers. We had the right mix of party and chill which is what I wanted most. Highly recommend! Melody M2025-12-24Verified A perfect trip through Ha Giang Loop Hieudog was incredible. The crew looked after us so well with lots of yummy food and karaoke. So many laughs and good vibes, lucky to have spent 4 days with a beautiful group of people. A must do when visiting Vietnam. Thank you Tien for a safe and fun journey!! Mark G2025-12-21Verified 10/10 legends and fantastic trip! Hieudog, Thai and Tien were absolute legends and made this trip so memorable. Not only were the views were incredible but their banter, good laughs, funny attitude and effort to make sure everyone had fun was next level. Would recommend this to people who want a laugh, be in good company, meet the locals and have a great time exploring this epic area of Vietnam. Would 10/10 recommend you ask for these guys , they really made the trip!!! Daryoush M2025-12-21Verified HIEUDOG / TIEN / THAI - BEST DRIVERS AND TOUR GUIDES. The Elite Crew: Hieudog (the Boss Man/Tour Leader), Thai, and Tien are legends. Their English is incredible—they’ve even been teaching themselves via Duolingo—and their communication is top-notch. • The Vibe: We constantly passed other tour groups who honestly looked jealous of the fun we were having. Whether you want to explore hidden gems, take professional-quality photos, or hit the best parties, they tailor the experience perfectly. • Safety & Comfort: My driver was exceptional. The bike was fast and exciting but I felt 100% safe and comfortable the entire time. Hieu was also incredibly diligent, constantly checking to make sure we hadn't lost any of our belongings. • Authentic Moments: We stayed at the best homestays and ate incredible dinners. My favorite memory was sitting around a fire in a local’s garden cafe, sipping egg coffee as the sun rose over the horizon. • The "Happy Water": Every day was a celebration! The group size was perfect, and between the "happy water" and the constant laughs, we became like a family. Final Verdict: HIEUDOG, THAI, and TIEN. Remember those names. I would pay these guys ten times over for the memories they gave us. They are professional, kind, and know exactly how to show you the heart of the country. Don’t settle for anyone else—these boys are the best in the business!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
